Skye Scruton joins the Sandstone Group as a Government Relations Consultant
Skye attended McGill, where she majored in Strategic Management and learned the skills to provide clients with the most effective methods to capitalize on their competitive advantages.
Skye has had the opportunity to work in both the public and private sectors, becoming proficient in strategic recommendations concerning the interaction between government and business.
Notably, she worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Organization. In that role, she provided strategic solutions for U.S. firms to enter and compete in the Canadian market and facilitated important commercial and trade discussions between U.S. and Canadian stakeholders.
Skye has a thorough research background, having worked in academia, facilitating and participating in projects that focused on industrial organization, development, and strategic management. Specifically, these initiatives allowed businesses in the agricultural and retail industry to navigate their competitive landscape, compete across differentiated business models, and improve on their core competencies.
Skye also sat on the board of directors of a non-profit organization, IRSAM (International Relations Student Association of McGill), which aimed to improve education initiatives on international relations, the Canadian government system, and on the interaction between the public, plural, and private sector in the policy formation process.
